Classic Tray Dot Pattern – Medium
The Classic Tray by Vitra is part of a series of trays with timeless patterns. They consist of laminated plywood and motifs from the expansive collection of Vitra. The pattern with dots was designed by Charles & Ray Eames.
The dot pattern came into being in connection with an exhibition at the Museum of modern Art in New York City. It varies a graphic motif consisting of crosses and circles to a large-scale composition, and has references to Ray Eames’ abstract paintings from the 1930s.
